I’ve only been in here a couple of times for a quick coffee and cake, but it is one of the best in Ballarat. Lovely calm and cozy ambience – not too noisy but not too quiet either. Great to sit in the window on a sunny winter day. They use Bonsoy milk which is a big plus. The array of cakes was very tempting, today I chose a quince tart and it was delicious.

Amazing coffee, just disappointed in the brekky menu, no real eggs bene or big brekky. Also would be good if they had a menu up on here 🙂 thanks anyways guys will be back for coffee and cake – or a nice home cooked lunch. But breakfast for me is off the cards here.

Little Bird Cafe is a cute, quaint Cafe in the centre of Ballarat. The food was delicious and coffee was great! The service is friendly and food comes out fast! There are a great selection of delicious cakes at the front counter and the breakfast menu offers all the favourites and it well suited to all. The interior is comfortable, inviting and well decorated. Highly recommend this for a nice breakfast in Ballarat

Stopped for cake and coffee after the Archibald exhibition. The owner and staff are hysterical! The toilet is decorated with pages from 1960’s magazines that create great conversation. The coffee was very good. Comfortable seating in what feels like grandma’s house. Oh and the lemon merang pie! Brilliant pastry. Definitely going back when I’m next in The Rat

Lovely decor, friendly staff and good coffee.

$10 eftpos minimum is ridiculous and the reason I avoid the place like the plague. I never carry cash and as I’m only usually paying for two coffees, it’s never over $10 and I’m forced to buy something else just to put it over the threshold.

As its close to where I work I’d love to go there more regularly, but the eftpos minimum is enough to keep me away.

Had a great short macchiato, Allpress coffee. Very friendly, good service. Loved the 50’s decor, all beautifully done including the loo wallpapered in old magazine pages.

Really lovely little cafe. Friendly service and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We had the corned beef and the mushrooms. Both really good potions and so tasty.

UWent on Saturday and were so impressed we wanted to go back again the next day, but they were closed.
