In a beautiful building, great menu, lovely food with comfortable seating. The only thing that let the place down was the service. We had to get up and ask the staff behind the counter for menus. The lady who served us was lovely, but there was no follow up. We ended up going elsewhere for desert and coffee as no one offered anything further which was a shame.
Pros: Amazing food, very consistent
Cons: None
I’ve been here a number of times and I’ve never had an experience that was less than awesome. They use quality ingredients, hence some may find it’s a little pricey, but I’m all for quality and originality, so is a big tick!! Staff are always friendly and welcoming and the place itself is that nice old period style which just feels warm when you walk in.
Highly recommend
Excellent atmosphere and service. For breakfast I had the prosciutto omelette. Delicious. My friend had the French toast , delicious as well. Coffee was good and the unique approach to hot chocolate was worth the experience!!
Great coffee, friendly atmosphere and close to town. The Turret is a nicely presented venue, with friendly staff and good coffee. There’s adequate outdoor seating for when the weather is nice and sunny and spots for smokers too. Yummy food, can be difficult to hear sometimes when the venue is full, but on the whole, I would recommend it in a positive light.
Lovely corner. Great coffee. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I had pasta with smoked salmon and it’s quite pleasant. Definitely a must for breakfast when u come to visit Ballarat.
To be honest this place is nothing special. I go when other people invite me but do not make arrangements to come here. Staff are very friendly but have never been impressed with the food or price. Coffee is good.
Looked like a nice spot to grab a coffee. Ordered my cappuccino and was given a warm cup of milk. I actually threw it out as soon as I tasted it!! $3.90 for that. What a joke. I had already declined the lemon slice I ordered. They had nice looking small fingers of lemon slice, when I ordered they were charging $3.50 for it. Come on guys you pay less for one twice the size elsewhere and it’s not like it was homemade. Get your act together.
