Have been here 3 times now and never been disappointed. Portions are generous and always tasty. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive. If lamb shanks are on the menu, order them – had the nicest lamb shanks I’ve ever tasted here on my first visit, beautifully cooked and served with potato and brocollini. Bangers and mash also tasty. Family friendly restaurant too.

An upmarket bistrot, but it is equally enjoyable to eat at the bar or in the beer garden. Efficient service and decent menu, but a little overpriced. My chicken with sweet potato mask was tasty, but nothing I couldnt have made myself, so quite expensive for almost $30. A nice venue but not the cheapest.

  • Melbourne Epicurean Juror

Lunched here today at 11:30 am and I chose their Lunch Special of John Harbour Bangers & Mash with vegetables & a rich onion gravy for $15 and for dessert I chose their Chocolate Cheesecake, Strawberry & Cream for $9.50, the main was served steaming hot in just under 15 minutes of time of ordering (again it was really nice to see something a little different on a pubs menu). The Bangers & Mash were truly great & the rich sauce really added to the overall dish, the dessert was a real contrast on my palate of rich exuberance. The service provision by Amelia was efficient, attentive & very friendly – happy & smiling – only thing was she forgot to offer me a drink once seated & I had to ask for a glass of water mid-meal. The background music was hardly audible and therefore at a suitable level to be heard over easily.

The Juror’s Verdict: Food 5/5, Service Provision 4.75/5, Will I return: Definitely
