Chicken salt on chips a must
Fantastic tasting chicken and chickens. A North Balwyn institution.
Yes I can acknowledge not paying by card can be a little inconvenience but there is a bank directly across the road. Can’t see what the big deal is.
The salads are beautiful and everything is fresh and cooked daily.
Have been coming here for years and definitely won’t be going elsewhere.
Cannot recommend it enough.
Only good thing there is their chips. They use a special chicken salt that tastes so delicious. If you come here, you HAVE to get the chips. Add gravy too if you’re feeling it!
Would not go back here which is a shame because the chicken was good. Staff are unfriendly and the salads were soggy and old. Not worth it 🙁
I love love love their chicken~ can eat them all day. Tender juicy deliciousness. I will have my partner drive for this chicken. The herbs and spices they put in the chicken is to die for~
Never disappointed by the local chicken shop. Basically a North Balwyn institution. Where mums would take their kids after school, where year 12’s from Balwyn High have their lunch on their spare periods.
Good deals and quality roasted chicken, plenty of salad types to add to your meal, real value.
My all time favourite is their Lasagne which I believe is actually Pastitsio which I believe is Greek. But don’t let that fool you, its absolutely delish while hot.
Food for take-away but I prefer to eat in.
The family who owns it are lovely and have worked really hard and consistently to keep this place up to a high standard. Believe they’ve even won awards.
Had a lot of mixed experiences here, but the most recent time I visited (June 2016) there was a huge improvement. Their chip salt is great (lots of herbs) but the chips are sometimes soggy. Chicken is pretty good, sometimes a bit on the dry/tough side. Salads are decent, but the coleslaw is quite dry as there doesn’t seem to be any mayonnaise in it.
