Not many places in Melbourne that sell authentic austrian Linzer Torte but this is one. Not as good as the Tecoma Bakery before it changed owners but still pretty good!
Popped in this afternoon to have a peep at the display of slices & cakes as my sweet tooth was tingling. I couldnt decide what I wanted so got the cherry hazelnut cake, gluten free chocolate cake and the vanilla slice. I had high expectations as the reviews were hype and I would totally agree these are some of the best cakes Ive ever tried. The Vanilla slice was the star though, best vanilla slice Ive ever had. Perrrfect ratio of custard to pastry. Custard light and fresh & the pastry flakey and crisp. The choc cake was GF but didnt taste like a GF cake. In fact its better than any non GF choc cake Ive had. The cherry hazelnut was lovely also. Ive already scheduled in a date to return and purchase more- AM KEEN.
