Crispy Eggs were okay. Ham hock on the side felt like a Caesar salad.
Chocolate Brioche French Toast was good! A little rich to have it alone. Chocolate does ooze out in the middle! Sharing is recommended!
It has a nice back outdoor area. Menu was good. Had their omellette which was just ok, could have been seasoned better. Sourdough bread is nice and fluffy. My friend had the corn fritters, it was actually really nice, and the presentation was good too. Coffee and hot chocolate were okay, but could have been hotter. Staff is ok. Overall it was a nice place to sit and chat, although my food wasnt impressionable – maybe i should have chosen something else?
Beautiful little cafe in inner east and provides a nice outdoor seating which can be enjoyed on a nice sunny day. You can easily find a place to park your car in neighbouring streets. I found the service as quite efficient and staff being friendly polite.
Menu choices aren’t that diverse but well that is the case with most cafes these days. Food was good and consistent. This isn’t a Cafe which will blow you out either with their food, creativity or price but will satisfy your hunger and will make you happy.
Came to Mr. Hendricks a few years back and fell in love with their lobster tail roll. Quite sad that they no longer have it and now have changed it to a soft shell crab roll but oh well! I recently tried out their: crispy eggs with sweet potato puree, smoked ham hock, cos lettuce, bacon crumbs, ranch dressing on sourdough toast. Yum! It was like a fancy caesar salad. Coffee was really good and came out extra hot, just the way I like it! The table just by the door to go outside the seating area is not an ideal place to be situated as people tend to leave the door wide open. Because of this, a wind tunnel would form and cold gushes of wind would get to you. Perhaps a sign to remind people to keep the door closed at all times would help?
Fantastic food and good coffee. Really pleasant outdoor dining area at the back, perfect for a spring/summer day. Menu was adequately varied and prices were fair. Short wait time on food too.
We meet Mr Hendricks and boy were we pleased. Easy and convenient location, Simple and well styled. Outdoor seating was just perfect on a beautiful sunny Melbourne’s day. Service was very attentive and the menu was clearly well constructed with flavours and elements. Good coffee the option of a beer for the mr. The dishes came out they were well constructed and all the elements so well made and bang on with flavour. I love cafes like where chefs have constructed a good menu and delivered. Portion size and presentation were also on point.
I don’t know why this coffee shop scores so high, the price is is not worth, because the taste is very general, without any special features.
