Got the worst Pastie on earth today, it was soooooo black you couldn’t eat it.
Not the first time, but will be the last, absolute rubbish.
cannot believe I was served this kink of shit.
    Give them a wide miss.

I went there with Vere for Lunch this afternoon and I had the Chunky Beef Pie in a meal with Chips, which were very salty and a Soy Hot Chocolate, which wasn’t very nice. Vere had a Vegetable Pastie, which was very dry and a Soy Cafe Late, which wasn’t very nice either. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent but we won’t be back since it has gone downhill when it changed hands.

I often find myself craving a decent pie every now and then, and on a cold Sunday afternoon my partner and I decided to suss out the Pie Shed as it was the closest pie bakery in our area.

We ordered a Chicken Camembert Pie for myself and a Chunky Beef Burgundy pie for him. Whilst it wasn’t the best pie I had ever consumed, it was very delicious. The flavours were on point and the The Pie Shed decor added to that home-style feel. From what I could gather, The Pie Shed is a family owned business using an array of traditional, handed down recipes.

We washed down our pies with a Banana flavoured milkshake and a Mocha. Both beverages were also very tasty. I am certain we will return in future.

This caf/takeaway obviously specializes in pies, and as such has several vegetarian varieties. I have had their veggie pastie, which is good, and their satay vegetable pie, which is scrumptious. The interior is reminiscent of an old pioneer home, with timber lined walls, colonial styled chairs and tables (covered in quaint chequered table cloths), and various rustic artifacts such as saddles, farriers tools, reward posters, and the like. For those who dont have time to dine in, there is a drive through. The service is friendly but no frills, the food is good and inexpensive. Its not a fine dining experience, but it is the place to go for a quick filling meal.

The service was great. Lovely staff who were willing to give you time to order. The coffee was surprisingly delicious. I ordered the steak and pepper pie which was great. The pastry could have been better but the actual filling was spot on. They have an Aussie theme with the fit out. I was very surprised at how cheap the meal was. Will be back!

My Partner got told to Fxck Off after complaining about not having any of the varieties he wanted available !!!! Very limited selection and very disappointing and disgusting customer service !!!!! Will never go back as a result and will discourage others from going also !!

In one word: disappointing.. I’m a regular at La Brioche just up the road but they were closed today so I thought I’d give The Pie Shed a go. While their service can’t be faulted, the product left me dissatisfied. I gave the Shepard’s Pie a go and was disappointed by the ‘Four n Twenty’ meat puree filling. The Indian Lamb had great flavour but again, it was let down by the quality of the meat. The girlfriend had a spinach quiche which sorely lacked spinach.

In a nutshell, do yourself a favour and head to La Brioche instead. This establishment is worthy of a 65% at most.
