Very disappointing. We ordered the banquet and the food was very bland. The order also came in the wrong order to what was on the menu. The miso soup was cold. And the meat was very tough and grisly. The seafood tepenakaye was tasteless.
While the waiters were very polite the person who greeted us at the entrance was rather rude. On top of this she was coughing and spluttering as she served us. Very unhygienic. If you are sick stay home.
We will not be returning again.
Nice food however not exactly authentic which is what I was looking for. If youre looking for an Australian Japanese restaurant for the family then this place is good but its not a place to find authentic food.
Excellent food. Great service. Wonderful ambient. I went there with my husband and our friends and truly enjoyed every single moment at the restaurant.
AMAZING JAPANESE FOOD. All the flavours on the plate blended beautifully together. The service was good considering they were busy and had limited staff on but they were friendly enough. My partners first time having Japanese food and he loved it too. Will be coming back. New favourite
Very happy with this choice of local restaurant.
Nice friendly staff.
Got the set menu
Miso soup vv nice
Gyoza good
Sushi sashimi nice but nothing to rave about
Very nice tempura
Highlight was The stir fry steak was a to die for dish, generous serving so tasty and tender… mmm
Jovial and loud clientele that night 🙂
So sad my long time fav local Japanese restaurant has changed hands. It’s a mere shadow of its former self. Food quality and presentation is very ordinary, service poor and as the hubby predicted the order came out incorrect..
I love visiting this place when we’re in the area, it’s not a well known restaurant if you’re not local and doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food is delicious and the presentation of the meals is a highlight. I tried the tempura bento box this time which was made up of tempura veggies and prawns, 3 slices of sashimi, 2 gyoza, diced beef and rice. I would’ve liked a miso soup to go with it plus another slice of sashimi but nonetheless it was a good size serving and everything was super delicious and fresh tasting. The dessert menu needs an update, it had only 2 really unappealing items – green tea ice cream and wasabi orange cheesecake – so we went elsewhere. Despite that, I still highly recommend, prices are reasonable too – 5 of us had drinks, entrees and mains for $150. You’ll need to book as the place is always full on weekends
