Maybe this is good for a casual family feed but it just didnt hit the spot personally for me. Lighting is really bright, music was loud, venue was loud too, I felt rushed to order and then after we had eaten rushed to leave because there appears to be quite a quick turn over here. The food is nice, nothing too special but good all the same. Maybe in future Id use this restaurant as a local takeaway rather then a sit down meal.
The service is ok. The food is very disappointing. Bland. No flavour. Horrible gnocchi that just tastes like chunks of soggy dough. Wont be coming back!
Just had first dinner with family here and was blown away. Didnt realise there was such authentic Italian in bayside! Absolutely loved the calamari and homemade baked gnocchi. Family friendly too. Will be back soon!
Came for dinner with friends.. lots of indoor seating available, quite a pretty big venue. We ordered some pizzas and drinks. Pizzas were woodfired, really long tasty, crispy and thin, decent amount of toppings, especially for seafood and meat lover pizzas. Definitely will come back again to try some pasta and the calzone Nutella pizza.

Food takes forever to come out it’s extremely annoying. Been waiting an hour for chips and a pizza. Cmon guys you can do better Will not be returning unfortunately. Owner is arrogant didn’t even say sorry. Cya later m8.
Third time that I’ve been to La Cucina and I am so pleased with the quality of their pizzas. It is consistently delicious and I would have much preferred if we had ordered pizzas all night. We were convinced that the barramundi special was going to be special but we were slightly disappointed. Although the fish itself was fantastic, there wasn’t much vegetables to go with it. I had half of a cherry tomato, two thin slices of what appeared to be zuchinni and all of it sitting on soggy potatoes which tasted like oil. I think I would have much preferred the fish to be baked in the parchment paper and a decent amount of roasted vegetables on the side. For what we received, it was too expensive. I could have ordered almost two whole pizzas for the price of the fish special and I would have been three times as full. However, because the pizza and customer service was fantastic and consistent with the last two times I visited. I still highly rate this restaurant and I will keep coming back. I will just opt for something other than the barramundi special.
