Great little fish & chip shop in the amazing town of Beechworth. Great options on what lunchbox selections to choose from and really amazing value, with the side salad. I’d most definitely recommend giving this place a try.
Fantastic. This is a hidden gem, cleverly disguised as an ordinary fish and chip shop. It’s interesting to note other reviewers suggesting it was the best they have ever had. I don’t imagine that battered barramundi and sweet potato scallops could actually be any better, as it’s impossible to surpass perfection. We ate in the Cafe, the food was cooked quickly and served piping hot. I plan to return for more, despite living 1400+ kilometres away.
There are some serious fine places to eat at Beechworth. The ageing frog fish bar is a must do for those that appreciate a good fish and chips. This is one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Easily the best potato cakes ever had, good portion of fresh fish and delicious chips. Do yourself a favour and check them out.
Amazing potato fritters!! A must try for all! Also the spicy cauliflower dish is very tasty also. Friendly service each time, we shall be back!
The first time we got fish chips and potato cakes here was just the best. Naturally we came back a couple of months later for more. Unfortunately it may have changed hands as they were not the same at all. Just your very standard run of the mill fish n chips.
