Cream cream … and more cream. We ordered beesting, vanilla slice and a glass of ice chocolate. All of these were quite tasty and creamy at the same time. This made us cream overdosed, well a lesson for us to choose wiser next time. And after a few spoons, they almost tasted the same. Greatest bakery in Australia? Maybe not. But it is still better than average.

Bit pricey. Pies arent made on site, I actually dont think much is. Also, pies were barely warm. Theres probably far better bakeries in Bendigo.

My partner and I were visiting the Bendigo art gallery for the first time and post our spot of culture were absolutely starving. No offence to the Bendigo food scene but I couldn’t find anything that appealed on the main strip so we headed back to the car and decided to pop into the uber famous Beechworth Bakery. I was shocked to discover it was his first time there the poor deprived thing. Given it’s proudly proclaimed Australia’s favourite bakery I considered springing for the cookbook but then I remembered I’d borrowed my Mums on a previous occasion and never made anything from it. At these sorts of reasonable prices who has the time to wait for dough to rise?
The beesting is probably the most popular thing they do but I’m not too into heavy cream based items so prefer the snikerdoodle. Either way you probably can’t go wrong regardless of what you chose

Can’t go past the beestings, i stop and grab one every time im near the place. Pies are pretty good also, i recommend stopping there if your ever in the area.

Very busy Cafe/bakery with a lot of workers with great service. My partner and I shared a Bee sting and a coffee. I probably expected a lot more from the bee sting considering it was so busy and it seemed like that was the must have when visiting a Beechworth Bakery. But it was very underwhelming. Still good.. Just thought it would be better. The coffee however was actually delicious and creamy. If you like a coffee thats a bit more on the sweeter side then you will definitely enjoy it. I did like the feel of a more old fashion bakery with more traditional baked goods. All in all we would definitely come back for a coffee in back in Bendigo

Precooked egg & bacon toastie reheated on order. Yuck! Only 12 people in the restaurant at 8:00 in the morning and still couldn’t get the orders right. One of my friends had a refund due to order mix up. Don’t bother unless you want a pie to go.

Time for a late morning breakfast. Eggs Benedict wrap German donut (custard and Apple filling) ham and cheese croissant GF almond orange and GF toasties. All very nice.
