Very nice atmosphere, good service and delicious food. We loved the potatoe, leak and asparagus soup. It’s an interesting choice for having breakfast or lunch.
Review based on coffee and service only. We were drawn in by the mismatched vintage furniture on the kerbside and when we entered, the maroon wall created a sense of warmth that seem to beckoned us to stay. The tables were arranged closely together making it hard to navigate and sitting was quite uncomfortable on the only remaining table so we ordered coffee for takeaway and a muesli cookie to share. By the time we finished the cookie, called our friends to find out where they were, went to the loo and twiddle our thumbs, our latte was finally ready. It was scalding hot and very weak. It felt like we were drinking watered down coffee. Such a disappointment considering that the service, ignoring the wait time, was genuinely jovial and we really enjoyed the ambiance and deco of the cafe. I will have to come back to try the food and hopefully be blown away because I really wanted to like this place.
Likes it. Good food and coffee , friendly staff and cool decor..great location. Reasonable prices. What more could one want !
In love. I went to this cafe a few years ago and have carried an El Beso business card around in my wallet ever since. I’m finally going back to Bendigo this weekend and my first stop is El Beso.
I loved everything about it! I loved the decor, the staff, the atmosphere and I had the most delicious breakfast.
Although I have only been once and it is miles from home, this is my favourite cafe!
How can you go wrong with rugs on the tables? Had the sweet potato frittata which came with salad and homemade hommus. Delightful. Coffee is OK. Good spot for setting up a laptop and doing some work. Kisses!
Funky little cafe in a great location. Had lunch with my husband here on a Wednesday. I ordered the pumpkin and goats cheese tart, my husband ordered the quesadilla. Not a very long wait for food and when it arrived both plates looked gorgeous! It all tasted great, too!
Service was very good and efficient (seemed to be just the one waitress). A nice laid back and comfy feel to the whole place.
Very much looking forward to returning.
Gorgeously colorful &homely cafe with friendly staff. The menu is limited but unique &fresh &the flavors are amazing.
