Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at Masons tonight as I have in the past. We were seated and it took over 20 minutes before someone came to take our drink order, we had about 3 different people serve us during the night and not one of them introduced themselves or discussed menu items/roaming menu, we were rushed to put in our order and when we did order we were told we had to pick something else because they were sold out, had to ask for our water to be refilled twice, and flag people down to get their attention. It just was not up to the normal standard that I have experienced before. It felt chaotic, rushed and unprofessional. When I was paying the bill, no one asked how the food was or if we were happy with everything. I did pass on my feedback and was told it would be passed on but there was no apology, just asked if I would like my receipt and goodbye. The food was good but this is not good enough for this type of service and certainly not what I would expect from an award winning restaurant.

Most dishes are creative, colourful and tasty; especially the ones using local ingredients showing chefs heart with Bendigo. Where ingredient of Asian will need a bit more favours and thoughts… maybe Viet herbs?
