Great location near fountain, ambience soothing with old world charm being in a old bank building. Food good but confit duck perhaps slightly over cooked, truffle gnocchi and mushrooms really nice . Steak slightly overdone , flavour lacking red wine not coming thru strongly. Good prompt friendly service, lovely crusty bread .

Recommended by a friend. Pleasantly surprised by the place. Lady who worked there was so nice & welcoming. We ordered Duck Parfait, mandarin cake something, & affogato. Duck Parfait was really nice creaminess of the Parfait well balance with the crispy but soft brioche they offered. Mandarin sorbet like biting in to mandarin & perfectly marry with the soft mandarin cake without over powering each other element. Also well presented with a mandarin leaf. Really nice vintage french style ambiance. Wish went there for bigger meal. Overall food quality, service, taste,& ambiance against price gives an overall score of 4.3*/5

Good service, solid menu, lamb kebabs great and wine list worth a wander. Cauliflower a little over cooked but dessert well and truly made up for it.

Lovely early evening dining. Waiting staff very helpful and polite. Chose the $54pp 4 savoury + Sweet. Nice variety and finished satisfied. Lovely space with a impressive view from the large window of the Bendigo city, day and night.

Had lunch here earlier today, sitting in the outside area. Fortunately it was a beautiful day, not bitterly cold like it had been in Bendigo. I ordered one of the ‘quick eats’, a BBQ burger with coleslaw, and it was quite hot. I needed a glass of water after each bite. The burger was quite nice though I preferred the thickly cut chips that came with it, just wish there were more. My mother had potato and celery soup and liked it but wasn’t satisfied with the portions.

Dined here on Friday night as we stayed in Bendigo – in the main street and was a short walk from our hotel so nice to be able to walk to dinner and enjoy food & drinks. We enjoyed the lamb shank croquettes, fellino salami, scallops & barramundi for starting plates, for the main plate we had the pork cutlet and saved room for dessert and went with the lemongrass brulee – all the food we had was super delicious – the flavours and combinations were really good. My fav was dessert – the apple salad and plum sorbet with the brulee was great. For drinks I had a mojito and hubby had a few different beers which he enjoyed. Service was friendly and helpful. Great local gem and if we are ever visiting Bendigo again we’ll be sure to stop by.
