This place has delicious pub food. Service was attentive. Had the mexican parma and porterhouse with mushroom sauce. Steak cooked well. Chips crispy. Parma was big! And the best part was i enjoyed the vegies! Also had the sticky date pudding which was very well smothered in the delicious sauce. All in all great food and will be back!

Long wait but worth it. I suggest to the previous reviewer to go in again, as the food, though there always seems to be a long wait for meals, are generally worth the wait.
We ordered a bbq chicken cheese pita for our entree which came out reasonably quick, however our mains, which consisted of a standard parma and the lamb rump, took a while to come out, but being as busy as it was it was understandable. We tucked in and couldnt believe how good the food tasted. this place can do a mean parma, and it was a generous size. The lamb rump was a little tough however the red wine and rosemary sauce was to die for. The service was very friendly and the girls behind the bar were especially good as the coffees we received were top notch and one of the best i’ve had at a pub. You may have struck them on a bad night as everytime we have gone in, the service has been fantastic and the girls have always gone above and beyond for us. DO go back in and DO have a non seafood meal, this pub is great.
Not So Much. When I first walked into the Rising Sun, I quite liked the feel of it. The layout was a bit strange, but the main dining area had a lot of greenery to look at through the large windows and was quiet given the number of people there.
Unfortunately, I was distinctly unimpressed with the food. My husband and I decided to lash out a bit and try the seafood platter, only to find we’d paid over thirty dollars for a frozen pack we could have bought at the supermarket for $12. Crab sticks and other little things we couldn’t quite identify were set on a gigantic platter of chips. If we had wanted a platter of chips, we would have ordered one.
The staff were quite nice but seemed a little lost over some standard drink mixes and around the coffee machine. They did their best, and I commend them for that, but I would hope they make a habit of having at least one person who knows how to make decent coffees from a coffee machine.
Admittedly, I think I would try the place one more time just to see if we got there on an off day.
