Great food and service. All 4 of us ordered steak and all 4 steaks were cooked perfectly (medium rare).
I asked for a sauce that wasn’t on the list in the menu – chimmichuri sauce (It’s on the Bistro menu as a marinade for a fillet). With out a fuss they were happy to add that to my order and instead of chips I asked for mash and they happy to change that too. Few minutes later the waiting staff came around and said that they didn’t have any spare chimmichuri sauce available and if I would like another sauce. I was happy to have garlic butter instead. Which was delicious but on top on that the chef sent a complimentary salad that was of similar flavours to chimmichuri sauce. I was so pleased! The combination was just perfect.
We have been here quite a few times and we usually sit at the bar. It’s got a cosy atmosphere with great service and the food is so well priced.

The food was reasonably yummy. We both had chicken parmas (usually we are a bit more adventurous) with chips and salad. Chips and salad were good. Parma was reasonable, but a bit soggy on the bottom and lacking sauce on top big time. Price was probably a bit dear for the quality. Also very noisy inside, and waited about 40 minutes for food. Overall wasn’t bad, but room for improvement.

Pretty good quality food but a little pricey to go to too often.
The atmosphere is ok can be a bit noisy and squished at times.
Must try the dessert with meringue and honeycomb bits (pictured).

Good quality pub meals at a reasonable price, nothing fancy, but fills the spot, classic Parma was good, fish and chips was nice and chicken Caesar salad was also good. We sat in the bar as was booked out in bistro, still comfortable though.

Great rib eye steak. We were here from Melbourne and was recommended to go for the rib eye steak. My husband wasn’t disappointed. Great meal

Parma heaven. Best Parma in Australia. Eaten plenty everywhere but keep coming back. Great staff.

Previously a favourite. We have been visiting the Boundary regularly for about 8 years and always looked forward to eating there as the meals had previously been consistently good and reasonably priced for the quality – but judging by tonight’s experience unfortunately no more. My partner had the lamb souvlaki, one of his favourite meals at the Boundary but not tonight. There were only 4 pieces of fetta and 5 tomato halves included in the dish and not many more olives, and the amount of lamb was less than half the quantity that he had had in the dish previously. The bread also looked and tasted like it had come straight out of the plastic bag, it was not warmed and toasted.
I had the Lamb Wellington, which I had not had previously but being a cold Winter’s night it sounded like a good option, unfortunately not. The lamb was raw in the middle, not rare but raw demonstrated by the fact the fat in the meat had not rendered, the pastry was also raw and underneath the meat. The gravy was packet mix. The mashed sweat potato was nice and was all I was really able to eat of the meal. I informed the waiter of our disappointment in our meals, and he said he would inform the chef but he did not come back and speak to us to let us know he had done this or offer a discount, complementary drinks etc. Looking at several unfinished meals sitting on others tables as we left the bistro gave the impression others had had a similar experience to us. Also the Boundary is generally packed on a Friday but not tonight, so maybe news of downward turn in standards has already spread. I hope that Management become aware soon and bring the Boundary back to its previous high standard. We won’t be going back in the near future, very disappointed as was previously a favourite.
