If you want to have a quick bite, then this isn’t the place to go. When my family arrived to order there was two people waiting for their food and my family was next to order. We ordered our food and walked down to the front of the store, it’s a small takeaway shop. Suddenly from a quiet takeaway to a queue outside the door. There was one female taking orders, handled money, cooked and prepared the meal. While a male was at the back baking bread (in other restaurants they do this first thing in the morning). The young girl handled herself really well, however as we say in Australia ‘she was under the pump’. I have a small child and she was getting impatient, so hubby waiting with them in the car. I waited patiently at the same time I felt upset for the young girls and her working condition. The older male took advantage of her work ethics, she finally had our order in 45 minutes. If we were served at a reasonable time they would have got 4.5 stars as the family all enjoyed the food.
Really bad customer service. After a very busy day I had a craving for a Chicken Kebab, so I drove 15kms to get one, because they are lovely from this shop. So, at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon there is only one staff member (older lady) in sight to look after the whole resturaunt. As a retailer my sympathies are with this person for the first 10mins or so. But she doesn’t do anything to acknowledge anyone in the line, doesn’t even tell me that there is no use standing at the ‘Please wait to be seated’ sign because no-one is going to do it & when I finally get served & tell her that I need to pay for two drinks from the fridge as well she frowns angrily because she doesn’t know how much they are. It doesn’t matter how good the food is, it’s also not cheap, & I’m not going to pay top dollar to be made to feel like I’m causing her a hassle by visiting her establishment.
The only place we will go for a genuine turkish kebab outside of Melbourne. The meat packs are great to get too. Tasty and fresh and I LOVE the lemon meringue they have in there! Yummo!
Our party of six had a very nice meal here last night. It’s not cheap but the food and service is good.
Third time still a charm.. Yet another great dining experience, service top notch and would suggest Onya’s special grill for a great taster platter for two.
Will be back, without a doubt.
Terrible hommous. You can tell a good turkish from its hommous. Watery and sour – with a hint of rancid. Not going back.
