Not a bad place for fish and chips but not the best weve had. Took a little longer than we expected to be prepared.

The chips definitely needed more seasoning, they were pretty bland. The dim sims were below average but the homemade potato cakes were some of the best weve ever had!! Fantastic quality with a thick piece of potato inside crunchy batter. They also added an extra one in the box for us, which was great.

The souva pack was also good, a generous serve and the lamb was delicious. Unfortunately the pita looked and tasted like the store-bought kind from the supermarket.

Not bad, would probably order from here again.

Whoa. Probably the first ‘bad’ eatery I’ve reviewed. Well. There’s a first for everything I guess. I got the junior pack which contained chips, flake, salad and a drink. I’m no expert on ‘fresh’ food, but I could tell there was something off about the salad (coleslaw). And the mayonnaise was not mixed well within the coleslaw. The flake kind of suffered the same issue. It didn’t taste fresh. Had a strange taste and was very greasy. The chips were kind of good. But again, quite greasy. Waiting times weren’t too bad though. However the service wasn’t good. I was pretty much ignored. Luckily, I am quite patient. However another customer might not be, and walk out. So can I recommend Vithos Fish & Chips? Well no, not really. This was the first time I have been here and it didn’t make a good impression. It’s not the worst but it’s not good either.

Pretty standard fish and chips, I always order the flake which is pretty good. Chips seem to have improved lately as well. Burger is not bad, what you expect from a fish and chip shop. Very friendly staff.

Unless it has recently improved, Vithos serves the thinnest, stingiest pieces of fish, burgers that are overcooked and chips that are nothing to get excited about.
Their steamed dim sims are always really hot though which is a big positive.

Head around the corner to The Fishop on Centre Rd (at the end of Mackie Rd), to The Fishop, for the best of everything fish and chips – you will never have better hot chips than theirs.
