Went on Thursday night for dinner with friend after a recommedations from one of my mate. Didn’t disappoint at all.Really impressed with cool rustic interiors, especially handmade downlights which the owner said he built it on his own. The art walls ,main importantly the music that was playing 80s hiphop and classic hits. What a great ambience it has. We had the slow braised beef cheek, the meat was really tender and the salad was very fresh. A bit spicy though. The crispy fish ricepaper rolls were winner with creamy dill mayo. The ocean trout poke bpwl was different than the other poke we get with rice. Nicely cured troutfresh herbs and soy ginger dressing , yuzu mayo combines all well together. The coconut rice and stir-fry asian greens were good too. Had few asian beer which they do happy hour all week for certain time. If you’re looking for tasty, good atmosphere and friendly service i would highly recommend this place!!
The food is ordinary at best. We ordered the mushroom curry, poke bowl, and rockling salad. There is no taste in the mushroom curry. It is like sauce from the jar. Poke bowl – which is supposed to be fresh. What we got : smoked slices of fish like the one you can get from supermarket (in a pack), with some soba, mayonnaise and fish sauce. $18 for that. The rockling salad is the only reason I gave an extra star here. It is probably ok, but definitely not enough.
Quite disappointing, really. Should have gone across the street (not sure if I can mention the name here), which has better taste and better value .
Oh… we also ordered spring roll. What we got : sausage wrapped in spring roll skin (weird ??), with extra hair from the chef.
Service was on point for dine ins. Got the lemon grass chicken Bun (vermicelli salad) and it was super flavourful and zingy in all the right places. Nice flavoursome spicey notes and it was fragrant. This is a local Vietnamese place for me and it’s a far journey to your Springvale/ Footscray joints. But it satisfies the craving.
If service could improve would be 5 star. Having one member serving on a Sat arvo I understand but not being snappy to keeping the few ppl as customers happy makes for a lacklustre experience. Had the prawn/pork rice paper rolls with miso tahini and the fried race with seafood plus the Vietslaw. All delicious but really frustrated with lack of timely service. Glad there were only 3 tables being served.
Super delicious. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the food comes out a little slow compared to other Vietnamese places but the atmosphere, music and food means its a great place to relax and await your different dishes.
Ordered via Ubereats and would order again. The fried chicken as a starter was good, but needed the sauce to make it better, it was a little bland on its own. The pho also lacked a little flavour and was bland before adding a few extra flavours from the fridge.

I have only just discovered this little gem on Centre Road. During both visits Ive had the sesame tofu vermicelli bowl and it is seriously delicious and such good value for money at only $15. The service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait. The decor is quaint and modest.
