I love the name of this place. Maybe its the kid in me. Georgie Porgie is such a good feel good name and it made me want to really really like this place. I had the same sentiment recently at Upsy Daisy in nearby Glenhuntly. Such cute names.

But, theres bit of work needed here though. The inside is nice but sone of the detail just isnt right to me yet. Its almost there. The food the same. Getting there but not quite there. My spinach and asparagus soup looked reasonably nice but it was just a little bland. I added salt and pepper but it needed a dash of something, maybe a little chilli, to bring it to life. In the end I was disappointed.

My ham, cheese and tomato was much the the same. It looked ok but just needed more taste, just something to raise it a little higher. It promised but fell a bit flat. My coffee was nice though. Very well made.

Everyone was working hard here and was very pleasant to us. The cafe just needs a few little adjustments for me and youd have something that works a whole lot better.

Ordered the vegan burger through UberEats, what I received was essentially a warmed up salad roll. The description said it would have spicy tempura avocado and vegan cheese. It didnt have vegan cheese and the avocado was neither spicy nor tempura… It didnt even come in a bun. Just two slices of bread. Nothing about what I received resembled the photo or the description of it on Uber Eats… Paid nearly $20 for a warmed up salad roll that had less ingredients than one I could buy from a milk bar for $4 >.<

There was many redeemable factors about this place. The thought and consideration gone into the decor and aesthetic were very admirable, unique and charming. However the biggest let down was the food. I admit it was a Thursday but it was slow for an empty place. The chef seemed inept and unfitted for this type of job as he left our chips sitting on the counter for well over 10 minutes, forcing them to become wet and soggy.

They should work off a smaller menu instead of being a eclectic group of food that is hard to perfect individually.

Unfortunately I don’t think I will go back until I know their food has improved.

A friendly neighborhood cafe with good service.. nice coffee, all the standards. Interesting concept with the burgers by night, I have been once and driven past many times and believe with a little adjusting to the patties and the presentation, it could be successful if they really wanted it to, but currently, the night sessions just aren’t working the way they should be.

lovely cafe with a great brunch menu. the service could have been better. the food was well presented and tasted pretty average from what I’ve tried around the area

Lovely pancakes for breakfast. Great presentation, tasted great – I thoroughly enjoyed it!! Will be coming back for seconds and to try out their other foods! I would recommend this place!

First time trying this place today.
    Coffee – far below average.
Service was very good – friendly and attentive staff!
Food – Really dislike the menu. My friend ordered a barramundi salad which she didnt feel well from. It smelled so strongly of fish sauce that it put the rest of us off our food.
Another friend order a big breakfast which she could barely eat. Too much salt was one of the biggest issues.
I ordered a smashed ago, it was the only thing I liked on the menu. There was way too much feta mixed into the avo making it way too salty as well.
We were all really disappointed and barely touched any of our food.
I hope the owners listen to feedback and make some changes. Better coffee and new menu would be a good start. Dont like that the barramundi was frozen as well – better not to have fish on the menu if its going to be frozen.
