My dad was visiting from interstate and he wanted a decent meal. thought i’d give this place a go. We ordered a large chips, 3 pieces of battered flake and 6 pieces of calamari (to serve 3 adults and a child).
This was the best take away meal i have had in a while! The chips were 10/10 perfect, so fluffy and non-greasy. Same goes for the flake, definitely uses good quality fish here. Delicately flavoured and crispy battered. Pleasantly surprised by the calamari too! it can be a bit touch and go, it’s always a 50/50 chance you are going to get rubber bands, but the calamari here was delicious and not chewy.
Will definitely be going back!
The best fish and chips shop in town. Burgers are delicious. I’ve had lunch here many times and was never disappointed………………………

I used to love this place but was not at all impressed tonight. I waited for almost an hour with a three year old nagging for chips only to find that they had lost my order and hadn’t even started cooking. I’ll admit I dropped a few expletives and my order was cooked and boxed in under 5 mins however upon returning home I found that we were missing a piece of fish and two delicious South Melbourne dimsims. Not cool guys.
This place changed hands six weeks ago (it’s 31/05/16 today) as was apparent from the new and friendly staff …
… and the noticeable improvement in food.
I ordered a steamed dim sim and a hamburger with the lot. Both good.
Worst Fish and Chips ever. Chips were not crunchy or fresh, as I saw the lady put cold chips back in the fryer. The grilled Ling fish was in editable, flake was OK and seafood stick was nice.
I have a thing about my chips from fish and chip shops. They need to be the right kind of crunchy. Sea mist got it spot on. Not only were the only ones in the area who seemed to be open the day after boxing day, they were also very quick. I placed my order and was told it would take 5 mins, which is longer to get there from my house. So was very quick to get on my way. The only downside was that my potato cake was very thick in some parts and therefore wasn’t completely cooked.
