You’ve got to visit this place and try the Sizchuan Style fish soup, the four of us shared it and it was full of flavour and when you combine it with steamed rice, it’s the perfect accompaniment to soak up all the flavour. It was the star dish of the night. This was after we tried the lettuce roll stuffed with miced duck (yum!) and the spring onion pancakes which unfortunately were over cooked and hard, very disappointing. We finished with fried ice cream. Next time I’ll go for the Peaking Duck.
Had a dumpling craving so popped into this new Chinese restaurant in Bentleigh unplanned. Disappointed by the limited dumpling options, would have loved more variety but its not their specialty. Dishes were ok. The weekday lunch menu is better value but we came on a weekend.
I was greeted by a friendly, professionally dressed staff member, as soon as I entered the restaurant, and provided my choice of seating. My order was taken fairly quickly, and tap water provided upon request, along with other drinks. Soft, pleasant music was playing in the background. Adequate lighting and comfortable seats, along with a clean atmosphere. The food was served hot and fresh. The prawn dumpling (whole prawns) soup had a wonderful flavour – you must try this. The vegetarian spring rolls were served with sweet chilli sauce. They were golden, and crispy on the outside with a nice hot vegetable filling on the inside. The chicken chop was expertly prepared, and had side spices mayo and chilli flakes (not too hot). #Be Mindful: they charge a merchants fee for payments under $25. #Delighters: Licensed. Peking duck is their speciality (I will try next time). Dumplings and yum cha style dumplings available. Van Gogh painting in the bathroom.
