  The old man, presumably the owner, somehow misheard ‘another Blue grenadier’ as ‘cancel the blue grenadier’. Not a big deal, accidents happen, however when my food was ready (without the blue grenadier) the rude old man instantly got angry and would not accept that there was a simple mistake and kept yelling that I cancelled the fish. The lady was lovely however, and the food wasn’t horrible but I will never be giving that man my business again.

  This place is horrible.

  Visited here in desperation as we could not decide what to eat.

  I had a bad feeling when I walked in and the guy behind the counter didn’t even say Hi or anything that was relatively even close to English.

  This fish and chip shop used to be awesome but since the new owners have moved in it’s gone backwards and no where near as clean as it used to be.

  We ordered a pack for 2 and walking out with the fish and chips I still was not convinced.

  There is a certain smell of a good fish n chips you get through the hot paper and you just know it’s going to be yumm but this was not that smell at all.

  On the way home I detected a rancid oil smell that was already making my gut churn and the fish and chips were still on my partners lap in the paper bags.

  We arrived home and I pulled the boxes out of the paper bags and ewwww I could tell the oil that the chips were cooked in was old and not hot enough as the chips had absorbed a lot of oil and were not crispy at all.

  The fish we asked to have grilled and it had been dipped in a flour mix that was still raw underneath as I peeled it off the fish which was burnt on the outside.

  The fish itself had a old smell to it and more than likely had been frozen.

  We did not even consume any of this food and I am 100% sure if we did we would have been sick afterwards.

  We had also ordered prawns as an extra addition and for $28 this was a complete waste of time and money.

  Horrible,dirty and they really need to clean this shop up.

  You can tell when new owners take over a shop and change to cheaper chips and then buy budget fish and take short cuts,also the oil is either old or shit or maybe both.

  Sneakers At Eatz we shared a chicken souvlaki, and a minimum chips, I also had a frankfurt in batter. The souvlaki itself was ok, but a little strange at the same time. It was supposed to have red onion, but instead of red onion they had added some grilled white onion, which I found unusual in a souvlaki (it just reminds me of a Bunnings sausage in bread). The chips were delicious. The frankfurt in batter however was seriously lacking batter. Not the worst fish & chips shop in Berwick but not far off it.

  Cassidy the chips were good, nice and crunchy, but they didnt put any salt on them. Without adding some on at home they would have been very bland. I wasnt a fan of the souvlaki, it was all about the onions and not much else. I dont think Id be going back here.

  Solid fish and chips. Service hopeless as English struggle. Hard to find high quality fish and chips in area. Better, however still feel a bit flat after meal. Last time food was woeful. Burger was massacred, chips over cooked. Not going back:(

  Just tried this place for the first time and it will be the last I put in a phone order and asked if they had beef croquettes which the girl replied they do so I ordered some, picked up the order but when I got home they weren’t there! Rang back and same girl said oh yeah my boss said after I took the order that we don’t have them what the! Didn’t even call back to tell me or tell me when I picked up the order just crazy!!
