I went here to suss the place out for a venue, and fell in love with this cafe. They were full, but the lady at the front told us to hang tight and we could see her carrying furniture – they actually moved things around to fit us in. Despite the tables being set up in different rooms of the old homestead, the service was prompt, and despite us ordering three of the same meal, all of which we altered due to food intolerances, everything was done correctly. Great food, great coffee, super impressed.
Located in The Old Cheese Factory , The Homestead cafe is just that – a cafe in a homestead. It was a nice change to be sitting at a table in our own room, rather than the current trend of shared tables! We chose the fitting accompaniment to our coffee and had date scones which were very nice. We had a pleasant stroll around the place after. Dont be put off if the car park is very busy – there are a number of rooms used for different groups.
