Not good at all. New owner not good. Pizzas are very bad. I would say they have changed to base and a lot of the ingredients on top are very bland. Will not be back.
I’ve been to bar doh countless times since they opened but never been this disappointed. Ordered a pizza and lasagna takeaway. Pizza $22 was fine but the lasagna $18 was no bigger than my fist. I returned it and the staff were fine about (admitted it was a small serve) and offered a partial refund which i accepted. Tbh I still feel ripped off and wont be in a hurry to go back. Pretty disappointing that they skimp so badly on one of the most inexpensive dishes out there.
Have been told so much about this place but on my first visit last Sunday. I think it will be my last. Very average pizza after been told how good they are.
The pizzas here are fantastic! Beautiful gourmet wood fired pizzas with delicious toppings. The restaurant has a lovely rustic feel and the staff were great. It was quick service also. It has definitely become our new local!
I had been meaning to drop in here, having passed it regularly, and finally managed to do so. It was certainly worthwhile. They specialize in wood fired pizzas, and have a range of what normally would be considered gourmet pizzas. I had one with roasted eggplant, sundried tomatoes, zucchini, and capsicum, and it was very good. I did not dine in, but noted the dcor was rustic, featuring a lot of timber on floors, tables, benches and counters, and it looked inviting and cosy. The pizza was prepared quickly and cheerily, and I was on my way with a delicious morsel.
Tasty, well made wood-fired pizza but on my last visit it appeared that the pizza was smaller than what I had ordered in the past. Also I was overcharged – the pizza I ordered was $17 on the website but I was charged $19 when I collected it. Worst was that there was a piece of cardboard in the pizza (looked like part of a bottle top). Not sure if I’ll be back.
Usually our go to for local Pizza but no more.
Tonight we ordered 2 pizza’s and the lasagne.
Firstly, the prices listed for each item have gone up $2.50 each so cost $52.50 all up BUT whatever you do NEVER GET THE LASAGNE. $17.50 for the smallest lasagne I’ve ever seen (equivalent of a lite n easy serve) with virtually no meat and the bottom all fused together and burnt. I’m in the food industry and would put money on it being microwave burn. Simply inedible.
The pizzas are usually good but tonight they were VERY average. I had the margarita type pizza and it was completely tasteless…..almost no sauce, no buffalo mozzarella (as advertised) and 2 measly small leaves of basil. Ate 3 slices and threw in the bin.
The other pizza was ok.
All in all, an absolute disgrace to charge over $50 for what we received but more importantly what it tasted like.
They just lost 2 local customers and never to return.
