Lunch on the go from Ganesh Indian. Very friendly service even in those brief moments. Butter chicken was a hint salty. Wouldn’t get this again. Change from a $10 qualifies as a cheap eat!

Came here to grab a quick take away on a freezing night after we had been out all day. We ordered butter chicken, half a tandoori chicken, naan & rice. Being freezing we waited inside until our order was ready. The restaurant was full and there seemed to be some big Indian family groups eating with their hands which I thought was a good sign as to the authenticity of the place. We did wait a fair while for our meal due to the number of phone orders coming in to pick up. Unfortunately we weren’t that organised. The butter chicken was quite mild and creamy. Kelisi has had a strange fascination with tandoori and chicken tikka over the past few months and has to order it. Ganesh is top 3 for tandoor for us. Naan was a bit limp and rice a little lack lustre by the time we got home which is an unfortunate consequence of getting take away. Would definitely come back here again to dine in. Glad we discovered a good local Indian shop a 5 minute drive from home

Absolutely brilliant samosas, best I’ve had in Melbourne. Wonderful, warm, friendly, service. We are always made to feel like part of the family. Fantastic food and great service!

Came here for dinner and had the seekh kebab butter chicken and aloo baingan and garlic naan. Butter chicken was pretty good but the rest of the food was a bit average. Service was a bit slow and the misic too loud wont be coming back.

We consistently order from Ganesh and are never disappointed… Love their tandoori fish! Always succulent!
Best Indian food in Blackburn! After trying food from elsewhere tonight and being extremely disappointed.. We won’t stray again!
Love your food but really wish you offered delivery.. That is the only complaint but nothing transportation won’t solve.. Keep serving the delicious food!

Two of our grandchildren live in Templestowe and they both have a passion for Indian food. For some years we have been taking them to Indian restaurants in Doncaster and Templestowe where they were well known by the staff.
However, they now have a new favourite which is Ganesh situated in South Parade opposite Blackburn station.
This is a lovely restaurant, the food is excellent and reasonably priced and the service is attentive.
    Well recommended! @Fred Barker
