  An exciting place to eat, budget friendly and great authentic vibe.

  Food: We ordered SET A and SET B as well as other side meats and dishes. The quality of the meat was great and portions are decent. I would recommend ordering a set as well as 2 extra for a group of 4-5 people. For the price and quality, its a great bang for your buck.

  They use coal, it can get very hot and embers may spark so be vary if you have young kids.

  I recommend ordering the beef intestines.

  Service/ Ambience: Both Japanese servers, one being the owner were super sweet and very nice! The place is small and cosy so its great for intimate catchups or group dinners.

  My favourite type of BBQ is by far Japanese BBQ and I was excited to see this one open in Blackburn. We came here around 5:40pm without a booking and there were plenty of seats. Im not sure if it was because it was a 30 degrees day or that we came really early but there was probably one other person in the restaurant. They have a bar table, table for two and sharing table. When we arrived the waitress seated us in a shared table and told us if we dont mind sharing a table with someone else if they come, lucky for us, no one came and we got the whole table to ourselves. The place is pretty small, so definitely make a booking if youre gonna dine here later on in the night.

  We got given the menu and we decided to order a bunch of meats to eat. Theres also sides to choose from and a very limited dessert to choose from. They have a hot portable charcoal grill which they bring out once you order. We ordered the deluxe beef ribs, the ox tongue, the rib eye, lamb cutlet (3 piece) and the pork belly. My favourite one was the deluxe beef ribs. It was melt in your mouth delicious! I loved how all the meats were marinated really well. I also enjoyed the pork belly – I thought the miso sauce was very flavoursome. It was my first time trying ox tongue and tbh I didnt like it. I dont like how chewy it is. On the other hand, my partner really enjoyed it. I didnt like the rib eye and the lamb cutlet was very mediocre and didnt have that much flavour compared to the other meats. Most of the meats were served in 100g portions which was quite small.

  The service was quite slow. We ordered everything which included rice and they gave us two of our meat dishes and no rice!? Rice should be the first thing that hits the table! Also the grill net was a size too small for the actual grill. They should really consider buying the right size. It kept moving every time we flipped the meat and honestly can be quite dangerous.

  Overall, I really enjoyed our experience. I do recommend ordering the beef ribs! Pricing is not too bad. We spent around $89 and were at that level of satisfied full but defs not dying food coma kinda of full.

  Authentic japanese restaurant. Outstanding Charcoal BBQ – all meats were fresh, nicely cut and prepared. Meats were all well marinated. Sake and Beer also available which are great to go with BBQ. Very friendly staff, nice place. But there wasnt much tables, make sure you book in advance. This is a place no doubt will be back for more.
