Not a bad place to eat. The prices are pretty standard, they do alright for a small place. My husband and I love dumplings, so we always get their 20 pieces of homemade pork dumplings (bite pieces size – really nice)! We do take away most of the times, but dine in there today. They called out the food from the counter and we had to pick them up ourselves. They didnt offer any extra bowls/plates for us as well so we just share and eat straight away from the dish plates with chopsticks! Some people would not like, but to us its ok. It’s a small family business by the looks of it, so like I said earlier they do alright for a small place!
We grabbed a quick takeaway dinner from Noodle’s Gourmet as we had both been out for the day and neither wanted to cook. These Tardis like boxes are quite deceptive in how much they hold. We ordered number 9 & number 21 ( the Hokkien & Kwai Teow) and didn’t come close to eating the content. Leftovers for tomorrow perhaps. My Kwai Teow was heavy and had plenty of prawns and pork within. It was fairly weak on flavours and I would have added some fresh chillies if ordering at a sit down restaurant. My wife said she preferred mine to hers. She also did a very good job of gobbling down most of the prawn crackers. Overall the food was ok for the $11.50 we paid per dish but I would prefer to pay a little more and get something a little more tasty next time. Flavours were a little too subtle for me.
Went to this place to have a little cheaper dinner. I found the place quite clean than similar noodle canteens. We ordered a vegetarian singapore noodles $11.50 and a $11.50 hokkien noodles. Quantity was good, but we found it bland. With the leftover singapore noodles I added some soy and schezwan sauce and it tasted better then the original one. So for me I won’t be going here again.
I’ve been eating here for at least five years and have always enjoyed the food that they cook. In particular, I’m quite fond of their Nasi Goreng and think it is about the best I’ve had anywhere! 🙂
Dependable!. Always fresh, non oily and tasty! Great value for money. The home made dumplings are awesome! We are always amazed by how much comes out of the box!!
