Friend recommended this place and i was not disappointed. The food is more cantonese type, with pictures on the menu that are some appetizing ones and some look scary because they put picture of raw meats in the dish. We had a few dishes, and funnt how some dishes come with rice and you cannot order it as a dish without rice. Rice dishes came in a claypot and the amount of rice is generous. The yummiest dishes that we had were the minced pork meatball thing that looked squashed and the beef ribs with ba sook sauce. The kimchi soup was nice too. Some of these dishes came with generous amount of veggies. We had another chicken dish on rice but it was not memorable at all. They feel like a homemade dishes, very nice for winter as they tend to be soupy. The chili sauce and sweet soy sauce on each table is a winner too. The only thing that rather annoyed me was they took the plates too quickly, so we feel rushed out eventhough by that hour the restaurant was not full anymore.
When I have craving for hot pot rice, you will find me here devouring a chicken and mushroom rice…beautiful flavors and lots of chicken. Delicious food will be back!!
I love the XO sauce prawn balls on claypot rice. Arrives piping hot and the prawn balls are hand-made, so flavourful and when eaten with the claypot rice with a dash of their sweet soy sauce, it is awesome! Scrap off the rice on the claypot edges as those burnt bits are the best!
