Was walking past and needed something cheap and cheerful. Something Asian is a must in Box Hill. I ordered wonton/pork noodles. Highlights: the wontons were pretty good! Lowlights: the pork tasted a little off. Considering how much sauce there was in the noodles; they were surprisingly tasteless. The soup tasted like diluted fish sauce. Cash only – which always grind my gears.

I really love their wonton noodles and their yum cha food available! Always come here for their wonton noodles where the wontons are full of prawns and meat and the most delicious dumplings! Service is prompt and always with a smile.

Took away the Singapore fried noodles which couldve used more flavour. The yong tau foo with soup was satisfactory. However, the service there is poor. I wanted to purchase with card on one occasion in the past but was turned away. This time when the food was ready for take away, it was left there till I asked about it.

I checked out Grain Asian yesterday as a guest of box hill central. This is semi food court but really more of a restaurant, you fill out your sheet for your order but pay ahead of time. The decor here was actually quite impressive given the location but pricing was a little steep for the area.

I ordered stir fried eggplant in fish sauce with rice. I was a little surprised when what read as a vegetarian dish arrived with meat in it and enquired what it was. Staff told me it was pork and when I said I dont eat pork another guy came out and told me it was chicken. It did look like chicken so alls well that ends well.

I liked the flavour of this dish and it was actually rather filling. By the time my fresh prawn dumplings arrived I was hankering for a takeaway container. I really enjoyed these perfectly cooked plump delights with plenty of prawn filling. And now Im off to have the yummy leftovers for breakfast
