Skewers hotpot is what I call them. Choose your soup base, pick what you want to eat from the selection of skewers and a handful of plated ingredients from the fridge, and cook them yourself. $0.80 per skewer can be considered cheap or pricey depending on what you choose. A beef ball cut in half is pricey.
The meats and veggies are reasonably fresh, and the majority of the meats have been seasoned rather well. There were a few dud skewers, for example the bland bamboo shoots and the dry and tough chicken.
Highlight of the night would have to be the jelly drink with goji berries and watermelon. Very refreshing and delicious.
My rating is somewhat higher than intended because of the surprisingly helpful service. I enquired about a seasoning and they took the initiative to Google the English name for me.
