Went past Rainbow Chicken on the way to the train and grabbed a beef borek to fill me up. Most people were grabbing the chicken skewers and fried chicken but I looked at the sized of their borek and had to have them. The beef was quite spicy and tasty and the borek itself seriously oily but just what I needed.
My husband though fried chicken was nice. I had fried squid and it was bit over cooked. We also had ox tongue and Sand shear?? It was bit cold and hard.
I got the chicken borek today as a guest of box hill central and found the chicken quality kind of questionable. It was a huge pastry and huge patty of mashed up chicken in it that had a strange texture so we erred on the side of caution after a few bites and disposed of it
2.5 the food is cheap for what we got. $5 for a bowl of wontons- there are at least 8 large chicken wonton. The taste was ok, not super yum.
Plain noodles $5 was a large bowl as well. Both wonton and noodles I felt that it had too much MSG.
Also they overcharged me $5.9 for noodles, I had to question them before they refunded me 🙁
