Late night dinner at Carrington Rd. Came across this gem. Heard their roast meats were to die for. We had the roast duck, roast pork and roast pork vegetable and rice. Portions were generous and yummy. There was a great mouth feel and everything just tasted yum. Box Hill just does Cantonese well.
Looking for somewhere quick, cheap and delicious? Roast Duck Inn has got your back! Consistently good BBQ roast meats, abundance of Chinese dishes on menu, they are always busy with both dine ins and take aways. My favourites are always the crispy skin roast pork and century egg congee. Yum!!
Hearty, big and fresh Chinese food with complimentary tea and soup. Attentive waiters fill your tea cups – this beats any kind of service in the Chinese CBD restaurants. Wonton noodles, roast pork/duck, claypot, pork belly…..this place does it all…..and very well
Duck is good but somehow not as amazing as it once was.
Tried the salted egg prawn since salted egg is a big favourite of mine. They were just okay, the salted egg flavour not very strong.
Always a pleasant experience when we dine here! The roast duck, BBQ pork and roast pork is always delicious! Make sure you get here early as it get very crowded!
I really dont care how people say this is a good restaurant. I tried it when it first opened. I did not like the way they chopped up the ducks. Then there was a change of proprietor.

I really dont care how people say this is a good restaurant. I tried it when it first opened. I still did not like the way they chopped up the ducks. And the food is still under par.
The duck was underdone. The meat was tasteless. And it was not chopped up properly. Pick one bit up and and 3-4 pieces followed. Still this is better the first time when the whole serve of ducks was still connected. Left most of it behind because it did not taste good.
The only other dish was a fish pot. The fish was not fresh. There is a strong fish taste which I did not like.
Just another bad meal.
Cant go wrong with a good roast on rice or noodles when you are looking for a quick lunch here. Abundant of flavours and textures on the menu to keep us coming back and try new dishes or good old comfort roasts.
