Living in boxhill you are surrounded by tea and being a lover of milk tea I decided to try this place out ! The tea was extremely sweet , although I asked for 1/4 sugar it tasted like they added 4x extra sugar instead

I want to try EVERYTHING here! I fell in love on my first visit but thought I would wait to review in case it was just a one hit wonder. Happy to say I’ve had a few great experiences now.

    SERVICE: 5/5
They are all so lovely here I almost feel like it’s that service you recieve in Japan. Whilst waiting for my bubble tea I spot a sign which I really liked (refer photo) about them taking their customer service seriously and encouraging people to leave honest feedback.
I would say that the wait time is a little longer than I’m used to but everything is perfect when it arrives so happy to wait the extra minutes.

    DRINKS: 5/5
Not only do they look pretty from packaging to the fresh vibrant ingredients inside the fruit tower, but the taste I so addictive! The pearls are also perfectly soft – I love them! The sizes are larger than what I usually get but I demolish these ones pretty quick as they’re so delicious and not overdone with syrup.

Brown sugar latte mud flip is deeelicious (although lacking in latte flavour), royal milk tea is always a classic and the fruit tower is so refreshing and the chucks of fresh fruit inside make it a 2-in-1 fruit salad (even served with a fork).

Piping hot mochi waffle is also worth a try!

    DECOR & AMBIENCE: 5/5
Stunning! I love the interior decor including a spray painted wall art upon entry, eye-catching light fixtures, vertical garden, display monitors with drinks being advertised and rose gold menu board. More seating would be great however it is a small space to fit much else in.

This milk tea store has a nice interior different than other milk tea stores I have been too. There is a range of tea to pick from. I have tried the jasmine milk tea and royal milk tea with standard sugar and ice level. The milk tea wasnt too sweet, which was great!

Im a sucker for bubble tea, and I love visiting different places. Stumbled across this cute little bubble tea shop is Box Hill, to be honestly I was sucked in but the beautiful interior. The fact they have my new fav flavour brown sugar pearl milk tea is a bonus!

I have to give this place two thumbs up, I love the look of the place, the service was pretty good and the taste is on point.

When Tea Royale first opened, there were lines of people outside the store waiting for a taste of the newest addition to the bubble tea galore in Box Hill. You could see people being excited and anticipating a refreshing bubble tea.

I finally had the opportunity to try their drinks when I was shopping at Box Hill Central and I must say, I was quite disappointed. The lines have died down and only a few customers were waiting to order their drinks.

We ordered the oolong milk tea with pearls and the taro milk tea with the house made taro balls. The oolong milk tea was mediocre and the texture of the pearls were soft and not chewy at all, it tasted overcooked. The taro milk tea was mild in taro flavour and the taro balls were bouncy, chewy and slightly flavoured with taro. However, after drinking a third of the bubble tea, the taro balls got stuck in the plastic bubble tea straw and it was difficult to suck up the taro balls and the taro milk tea together. The taro balls ended up sticking to the middle of the straw and it refused to budge. I threw away the straw with the taro balls stuck inside. Ive never encountered a bubble tea topping getting stuck in a straw before so that was quite a sad experience.

The decor of the store is stylish, vibrant and classy. Staff are plentiful and welcoming. Perhaps if the taro balls didnt get stuck in my straw, I would of had a more pleasant experience. Im not sure if this is a regular occurrence to other customers but I hope not. The total cost of the large drinks were $12.50, which is just a tad steeper than other bubble tea stores around the area. Seating is available but limited, its best to takeaway your drinks.

Dont really think this place is that different from other tea shops. Signature bubble tea doesnt impress me at all and their so called hand made pearls are just average…

My favourite bubble tea place in the whole of Melbourne. Consistently great, even when staff change due to the roster, I always get the same exceptional service and delicious tea. Their Taro balls are so good, too. I really dislike going anywhere else! This place is too good.
