The staff here are great and friendly. The food is also great and healthy! I come here often as it is local and don’t have any regrets or complaints!
I find this place to be very nice. The food is nice and healthy so I don’t feel guilty afterwards. Service is fine and they are friendly. The coffee here is also good
Great breakky. My gf and I got the breakie bagel and the toasted mushroom sandwich. a little bit of a wait but it came with an apology! food was really great, the toasted mushroom sandwich with the cheese was the star. will definitely be back soon!
Delicious breakfast bagel and coffee. Hubby’s brekky came out 20 mins after mine but we were compensated with a fresh organic OJ. Courtyard out the back is cosy and quaint.
Hidden Gem. Yep really nice food and ambiance. Has potential to be a little bit chaotic when busy but it is a quality spot!
Simply Perfection! I love it!. Wow what an experience from start to finish down at the Primrose Hill Deli! The coffee and food is amazing, the staff are accommodating and polite, the atmosphere is to die for. A simple review for what can only be described as a simply perfect place! Highly recommend to all those looking for a relaxed breakfast, lunch or coffee and or those in need of a helping hand when preparing dinners with a huge range of cheeses, cold meats, salads, antipasto and plenty more! Get down there ASAP trust me you wont regret it, you will be simply satisfied!
Hidden Gem. Decided to go for an explore this morning and branch outside the periphery of my usual St Kilda Sunday morning breakfast haunts. Jumped on my push-bike and rode to East Brighton to Primrose Hill Deli, per a good & cafe-saavy friend’s recommendation. So glad I listened to her advice!
Let’s just say my bike basket was full of delicious treats for my ride home and will keep me going for the rest of the week. I couldn’t choose whether to sit in the warm and cosy Deli or opt to be surrounded by the lush veggie and flower garden out the back (all planted and nurtured by the owner/operator). After two delicious coffees (they use Syndicate’s little sister brand, Clarke St Roaster – a seasonal blend) I devoured the vegetarian bruschetta. Delicious!
The mid-morning rush meant the Deli was buzzing, but not over-packed; which was nice respite from the usual ‘wait an hour for a table’ scenario. Lots of locals, the barista and staff calling most customers by their first name. After reading my book and savoring the warmth of the place, I succumbed to a little shopping spree. The front cabinets were full of house-made treats, pizzettes, take-home meals and dips/relishes; which have me set for snacks and dinners for the rest of the week. Bought two loaves of the Go Gluten Free seeded bread – haven’t come across this in small retailers before and it’s absolutely to-die-for as far as GF breads go (and other breads for that matter!) Was able to grab a stash of mixed quinoa, nuts and canned bean staples too and some Italian salami and Jamon for my carnivorous flat mates.
Couldn’t resist a few potted herbs to replenish those on my kitchen window sill; they were lined up so prettily along the shop front’s wooden bench! And an added bonus, a handmade straw basket, filled with local jams and relishes for my grandma’s upcoming birthday.
Was informed by the waitress that the Deli is owned and operated by the dynamic duo who also run the much-loved cafe, Marmalade Cafe, two doors down. What a combo!
Feeling pretty contented with my Sunday morning explore! Would recommend this highly to anyone who appreciates where their food comes from, how it is prepared and served and the warmth of a place that is run by creative, passionate, foodie-loving people who care.
