Wasnt very impressed with their vegetarian pad Thai. It lacked the authentic Thai flavours usually found in pad Thai, however contained a good amount of vegetables and tofu. Overall, was average and probably would try one containing meat or seafood next time.
I was interested in trying a new Thai place but it hindsight this was not really worth the 30 minute trek. Really was just a local sort of place. For mains we had the pad Thai and a green curry both had traditional flavours and the curry itself was quite aromatic but there was nothing particularly memorable about either of them. Price wise it was pretty reasonable (certainly for Brighton anyway) but I wasn’t too impressed. Might’ve been a different story if it was my nearby takeaway spot
Really enjoyed the food here, staff are lovely, service was quick and the food was really tasty. My only complaint was that the satay beef was overcrowded with undercooked carrot, other than that delish. The hubby had a green curry and raved about. We will return.
We had the mixed entre and received two spring rolls, curry puffs, money bags and prawn that were all deep fried and I have had better frozen products (I’m sure they were frozen). The rest of the menu was just as boring so we ordered the special of lamb shanks with massaman curry. The shanks were cooked OK but they were not cooked in the curry; it was clearly just poured over the boiled shanks. The waitress informed us this was a meal for two at $25 and the plate arrived with four pieces on it. However, there was absolutely no meat on one of the pieces. When we complained the waitress asked what could she do and then offered to get another one. She then returned and informed us they had run out and the manager was out doing a delivery so she couldn’t do anything else for us. We waited for the manager who instead of apologising he defended the serving. He then said ‘what can I do for you’. We couldn’t believe he didn’t offer a solution and he was rude and defensive. To add to this the restaurant was cold and we had to ask for the heater to be turned on which the waitress seemed put out to do. We will definitely not go back.
Sorry but for the price this place is mediocre. Came here for dinner for four on a Tuesday night and it was $89. We had a curry, a starter (which was more like woolies or coles from foods but deep fried), pad Thai and a soup (this was the only thing that I felt was at least worth the money). Needless to say it was an extremely disappointing experience and I would not go back.
Favorite thai place in Brighton. Menu is reasonably priced and home delivery is free over $20. The phad king is particularly good. You even get satay sauce with the prawn crackers!
My favourite place!. The people are lovely! The food is delicious and they have heaps of options!!
