  If you are a fan of Acai then I recommend this place! I really enjoyed the smooth thick texture of my acai bowl, packed with fresh fruit & delicious peanut butter! Super refreshing & perfect on a summers day.

  We loved all the amazing options at the Açai Effect! Great spot for summer with mouth watering bowls that I can’t wait to try once more!! They also have warm bowls for those colder days too!! So much goodness in the one spot!! Absolutely love

  I loved this acai bowl/smoothie/juice location! The perfect place for a healthy meal.The interior is simple, and I love how much room their is inside the cafe. There are also some seats outside if you’re feeling like eating in the sunshine!DRINKSTropical Love Smoothie: A slightly tangy, smoothie that had a great sweetness. I loved the pops of passionfruit! Gingaki Juice: A very refreshing, healthy juice full of vitamins from the fresh ingredients! It didn’t have an overwhelming citrus or ginger flavour which I liked, great balanceFOODAvocado with Pepitas and Chilli: A simple classic done nicely. I loved the heat of the chilli contrasted with the creamy avocado, and the crunch of the pepitasEnergizer Acai Bowl: Oh my gosh, an amazing, fresh acai bowl. I love peanut buter & this had a great peanut butter flavour. The buckinis gave a contrasting crunch to the dish. I couldn’t stop going back for more fruit & big mouthfuls of this delicious combinationSoul Good Acai Bowl: This was soooo good. Chocolate acai bowl, what more could you want? There was a great balance of natural, slightly savoury cacao nibs with a more sweet chocolate from the goji berries. I love chocolate covered goji berries, and they worked so well to provide something chewey in the bowl. The service is so lovely. I love how friendly & welcoming the staff are. You can also see your smoothie/smoothie bowl being made right in front of you, while you chat with the staff which is a great experience!

  A cafe specialising in acai bowls is definitely a drawcard for me. I adore these healthy bowls of goodness, and the bowls at The Acai Affect are so fresh and tasty, that it’s hard to believe they are so good for you. With their own special homemade acai mix made with acai, bananas and coconut water, and a great list of add ins; these bowls are a treasure trove of deliciousness.We tried the Eye Opener and the Energizer. Both have the same acai base, but one has granola, coconut, strawberries, passion fruit, goji berries and kiwi fruit; and the other has buckinis, homemade peanut butter, banana and coconut yogurt. We had large bowls, which were extremely generous, and the toppings were ample servings. I couldn’t get enough of these bowls, as they were so fresh and flavoursome, and the texture of the granola and buckinis is amazing. The acai is so thick and creamy, and the perfect base for all the added extras. I particularly loved the homemade peanut butter. So much better than store bought, that I’m even contemplating making my own.A good variety of fresh juices and smoothies are also available, and they too are fresh and tasty. You can taste the health benefits with every sip, and they go perfectly with the bowls. A lovely selection of raw treats are also available, as well as avocado and banana toast.The Acai Affect is a beautiful venue, with natural light, tropical wallpaper and comfortable, modern seating. A cute neon sign takes pride of place on one wall, and the overall vibe is cool and fresh. Staff are very friendly, and more than helpful with the menu.This lovely venue is a great addition to the busy shopping strip at Bentleigh. Having healthier options is always a bonus, and the fabulous atmosphere encourages you to linger at The Acai Affect and enjoy the beautiful bowls and smoothies.
