amazing food , friendly staff, bit of a distance from melbourne city but definitely worth travelling to. The prawn, the duck and all their desserts are must-try!! Will definitely go back again with friends and family.

Suggested by a friend, four of us came here on a drizzly, cold winter’s afternoon and had a lovely seat by the fire, overlooking the gardens.
The food was magnificent – the baguette was crusty and soft (and the bread basket happily bottomless). For entrees, the duck rillettes were rich and served with acidic pickles to cut through the fat. Mains were well-received all around, with the confit duck, and the fish with prawn bisque being particular highlights. Desserts were equally delicious (creme brulee was absolutely perfect).
The wine list was great, and well priced, the service friendly and familiar. We overstayed our welcome by a couple of hours (sitting chatting and eating until almost 4pm) and the wait staff left us relaxed and unhurried. This is authentic, comforting French food which wouldn’t be amiss in Paris.
I will be back, and I will take many people back. A real (undiscovered) gem on the Peninsula.

My family went here today for Christmas lunch and it was one of the best meals we have all had in a long time. The food was delicious, even ordered in snails for me! Service delightful. The hosts are a very generous couple who made it all very special. We will be back soon.

There are the usual big breakfasts then there is l`assiette provencal. served up so good (not just on a round plate as the norm) and tasted awesome especially the fennel sausages, The wife`s french toast and berries was superb, Sitting in the garden was a great way to start the day, The chef is very friendly and welcoming. Will be returning to try more of his menu.
