  • The Dear Luncher

The Dear Luncher was undergoing a medical procedure in this particular part of Melbourne and by accident, stumbled across this fine foods store. Breakfast that day was skipped and coffee had not yet been consumed. As a consequence, Your Dear Luncher was at that moment in time, the Mayor of Struggletown. An egg and bacon roll accompanied with a long macchiato was ordered.

The Dear Luncher absorbed the egg and bacon roll in his vehicle a few moments later and was mesmerised by its quality. The coffee was faultless.

The Dear Luncher loves chance meetings like these. As The Dear Luncher was waiting for his breakfast, he browsed and browsed hard. Real hard. This place was choc-full of fine food goodness. Enchanting take-home meals as well. Intriguing and unique. If The Dear Luncher resided just a wee bit closer to Lafayette, some more frequent encounters would occur.

I love this place. Hadn’t been for a while as I was buying so much of the lavender honeycomb chocolate I was running out of money lol!

On returning there the other day picked up the leek & smoked trout tart, normally $30 but the lady said to me why not get the frozen one that was 50% off. What a lovely idea! So appreciated her suggesting this.

Always a joy coming here. So after scoffing that down over 2 nights, went back to see if they had any more but all sold out, of course! Bought the fully priced one, another variety (mushroom, Brie & spinach). So tasty as well.

So glad I live close to this place. I’m going to be visiting far more often!

How amazing are the take home meals? I’m a bit of a corned beef fan and it was delicious – I didn’t come to this one (Toorak one) but same food and so many options for lazy chicks like me and more wholesome foods – from chicken enchiladas (yum) and the crumbed chicken is terrific too!!
