  I love the way this cafe has evolved over the past year or so. It has a large indoor area for seating, which ranges from a comfy sofa, long table, and bench seating to tables for two and outside areaseating on wooden benches, with sun umbrellas in the summer. I’m sometimes to be found with my dog sitting out there, rugged up for the colder weather. Ialso enjoy sitting inside in the warmth with a coffee and friends. I think my favourite feature is the old Art Deco style staircase to the bathroom upstairs. The owner and staff are always friendly and have a great memory for names – even the dog’s! Theiralmond latte (weak for me) is warming and tasty, and friends like their other coffee offerings too. At times the cafe is quiet, which creates a lovely calm atmosphere, great for small group meetings. Then there’s a hustle and bustle at coffeeand lunchtime as the take-away crowd come in, which changes it to a busy and popular venue. As a local I never tire of this place, even though I remember it in its former incarnation as a cafe and gift shop with a nice stock of presents to buy.A few well-chosen items for sale might add to the value that this cafe brings to the community, but even without that, it is a real favourite of mine.

  I dont even know where to begin with this place. By far one of the worst dining experiences I have had, and trust me I have eaten out quite a bit. Everything was just a disaster starting with the service and finishing with the food. The lady barista was extremely unfriendly and rude, and I felt nervous eating there knowing my waitress was also the cleaner, cook and barista… I am all for supporting local businesses but when something is bad, it deserves to be recognised for its poor service and terrible quality of food.

  Would not recommend eating here. I ordered a simple ham and cheese toastie and it took well over 10 minutes to be heated up.. the coffee was bitter and not hot at all. The cafe empty and probably for a good reason… take your money elsewhere to avoid getting ripped off here

  This is a great place to while away a morning over a book and coffee. Has a diverse seating arrangement that includes couches, chairs and outdoor seating. A small but well thought out menu and great coffee. Ingredients are fresh and the good is well prepared and well presented. Definitely worth a visit.
