Red interior, Art Deco designs, jazz music — having a quiet drink at Pera is like stepping back in time. If you ever want to fantasise about being in Paris during the Lost Generation, this is the place for you. Modernity can alienate those souls who feel out of place and Pera can provide us a little asylum and fantasy from contemporary culture which is as dull as dust. On a rainy day it’s perfect. This bar makes one wish it was winter all year around.
