What an awful meal. Not only did we wait for over 20 minutes they two meals we purchased were not what we would have expected. One of the meals was the Singapore noodles (i asked for it not too spicy) I got bland and tasteless. The second meal was Seafood and Vegetable noodles (asked for medium heat) the meal was so hot and edible we left it on the table.
Never go again.
Just around the corner arcoss the road from Hotel Brighton. The banging away at the wok always produces a very tasty meal. The young lady takes the order with a smile. I had the Kueh Teow and added the home made hot chilli from the table pot. A glass of water arrived without asking. ‘my mother made that’ proudly she said. Mostly takeaway walk in and phone orders. I prefer to eat in and enjoy clanging of woks and Mandarin banter.
Love this place. We always get the singapore noodles and its seriously good. Not like typical noodle place/food court singapore noodles at all, the way they do it is like a level above, extra fresh and tasty. They do lots of other nice stuff too but maaan, those noodles! Also I dont think an order has ever taken more than 10minutes and the staff are really friendly.
Friendly service, yummy food… I started working in the area about 2 months ago and decided to try out this local restaurant, i’m glad i did! Now I eat out twice a week during my lunch breaks. The food is very nice (my fav is char kuey teow), priced reasonably, the service has always been excellent..quite friendly and attentive. I swept aside the chopped spring onion in my fried rice dish on my first order and it was nice for them to remember..and ask if i wanted it without the next time i ordered that dish. I’d definitely recommend this place, 5 stars.
So good….. I have been frequenting Rice & Noodle on Bay for about three years now. I love the array of food, the prices are good, the service is fast and I am always served with a smile.
The restaurant is very clean and the guys are just a pleasure to deal with.

Delicious, authentic Malaysian!. This place is fantastic! We’ve lived in Brighton for two years now and go there around once a fortnight. As someone from a Malaysian background, I’m very critical of Malaysian food (it’s hard to find good kwey teow), but I couldn’t be happier with the food here. The place is run by a Chinese Malay family, with all noodles etc cooked to order by the old male chef. The laksa, kewy teow and hor fun are authentic and delicious, and my husband swears by the rendang and steamed dim sims. Highly recommended if you want tasty, authentic Malaysian food!
