Coffee here was great! The service was good, everyone who served us was smiling and kind. Had the fritters, they’re good but a little dry, needed something a bit saucier with the dish, but the flavour is there! Great fresh ingredients, nice breads and eggs were cooked perfectly. Decor is modern, fresh and bright, playing some upbeat music and a nice open plan little spot.
Prompt friendly service. Cozy atmosphere. Happy sounding diners pleased to be there.
There’s not much else to say in 140 characters. Really.
It’s a nice place for a Sunday morning breakfast, the pesto mushroom dish is very good if they are a bit more generous in using pesto sauce.
Didnt love the vibe as I first walked in. I was greeted by the waiter and seated. The mood was low from all staff. The cafe was very dark inside and was’nt my scene. Coffee tasted good which is good and Acai bowl was generious size for the price. Dont know if I would really go back…
Food was good but was let down by a waiter who wasn’t having a good morning and got annoyed that my wife and three kids took more than 30 seconds to order!!! First she wanted to take orders without giving them any menus. I was on a seperate table with a client. Then once she gave them menus took whatever the kids said first as the order, snatched the menus and walked off. Wife was too afraid to change the order which was not what they wanted!!! Disappointing.
Ordered: French Toast and Hutchy’s Fritters.
Verdict: Good food, but nothing really overly fantastic.
The food was good, don’t get me wrong. But it just wasn’t mind blowingly amazing. The French toast was average (I think I liked the Nutella best), and the fritters were an interesting combination of flavours.
We were hungover and still incredibly tired at 8am, but regardless of our state when we came here, a couple members of staff came across rude and short. Coffee was also served in tiny cups.
Great to see Rupert & The Fig now offers Golden Grind, a yummy turmeric latte blend, and great with coconut milk!
Really glad they offer a variety of milks and drinks, and always changing the menu up. Fresh!
