The original chicken here is excellent although on the pricier side. The poutine gravy was hot and super tasty (definitely as good as some of the best I’ve had in Canada), although the cheese curds are not on the same level. Coleslaw, mac and cheese was ok, although wasn’t the biggest fan of the chilli and garlic buttered corn as the marinade was a little flavourless. Definitely recommend the apple crumble shake.

Today we ordered the Mac n cheese, Poutine fries, popcorn chicken, original chicken, original burger and double burger. The burgers were good, if you are a fan of chicken burgers then this is no surprise, although the chicken in the burgers was a little tougher and dry in complexion compared to the original pieces. The popcorn chicken was also a little dry so we would advise against this too in future- however the rest of the meal was great. Mac n Cheese melts in your mouth, Poutine fries made perfectly with tasty gravy and crunchy chips, the original chicken was melt in your mouth flavour- a very fulfilling meal for sure.
Come here for your fried chicken needs. We would advise against the Buffalo sauce provided if you don’t like chilly! Great feesd, ambience and experience!

The original F.A.T and the best! Man, I love their chicken! The absolute bees knees, a few times my order has been mixed up but they always fix it up and look after me. The Mac N Cheese is so good, probably one of the best in Melbourne. Even the mock chicken burgers are off the hook!
Ive been meaning to visit this place for the longest time! Finally a quiet Friday night called for shakes and fried chicken. They have a couple of tables outside at the Brunswick East location which meant the pup could come too.
I had the mustard and pickles burger which was really nice, there was loads of mustard in it and heaps of pickles too. The chicken was crispy on the edges and juicy on the inside. Really yummy.
We also tried the Poutine which was pretty damn delicious. Loaded with grated cheese (that melts into the chips) and topped with rich gravy, they were yum-o!
If you like fried chicken, definitely worth a visit!
Two visits down and geared up for the third. Everything you expect from fried chicken and more – super crisp, super tasty and astonishingly moist (particularly breast portions) given the coatings degree of doneness . Original is a safe but by no means lesser option – Peach and Cayenne dip has nice heat and sweetness with a good dose of Carolina-style sour. Sides are classic but well done – had coleslaw on both visits, first time slightly dry and straightforward (but fresh), second time much more moist with nice apple freshness.
