GYROS SOUVLAKI AT ITS BEST,
I love Greek street food,
I grew up with it,
Ive probably tried 80% of the souvlaki shops in Melbourne,
And some of the Greek restaurants that serve them ,
Most of them are hardly eatable!
Only the ones from G Grill remind of the of the ones back home, the JUst like in Greece sign in the shop is 100% accurate!!
(I just wish the brought PORK back)
PS: I have noticed G Grill has a few 1* reviews that I cant possibly except as genuine.
It is a bit sad that everyone has become an expert in everything these days,
Id suggest to those reviewers dont make a comment on something you have no idea or you know very little about.
Its like me commenting on Mexican, Indian, Japanese food!
Ive had all of them, liked them, but that doesnt make me an expert to advise others,
Im sure there are enough genuine reviewers out there to expertly make comments,
Very disappointed with this place. Small servings. I got a meat dish for $14, explaining I was gluten free and they gave me minimal meat & salad. For this price, two doors down, you can find a much better service. I suggest going for a walk instead of stopping here.
Restaurant presents well, it has a cosy Greek inspired vibe. Authentic Greek style souvalakis. Saganaki and chips with feta were both cooked well. Food is always consistent. A little disappointed they took the skewers off the menu though!
Hands down the best food in Brunswick! I havent been into the shop, but order from here on uber once or twice a week. Really great value for money. Awesome tzatziki and taramasalata. Professionally packaged and always super quick. My go toos are lamb souvalaki or the lamb gyros with meat., salad chips, pita bread dip and Greek salad. Great portions and super super fresh, clean and so tasty. I highly recommend this place. Good value for money. Love love love this place. Cant wait to try Everything on menu. Thank you g grill. Out standing. 10 out of ten. I recommend trying this place, you wont be disappointed
Simply one of the best souvs going in Melbourne. Quintessential quality every time. Been a regular here for 6 months and have never been disappointed. From the freshness of the veggies, to the juicy yet crisp lamb, nothing disappoints at G-Grill. Chips are also of some of the highest quality my mouth has ever danced with.
The staff are super friendly and always say gday.
Makes Jimmy Grants look like an amateur. Highly recommend.
Used to be good for the price but now they have dramatically bumped up their prices….Helenic Republic is just up the road. If I wanted to pay 9 dollars for a side of tzatziki id go to a decent restaurant like helinic…not a casual souvlaki joint. Disappointed to see everything bump up in price by about 40 percent in a matter of weeks.
Drove past this joint a couple weeks ago with a lot of people inside which intrigued my curiosity. Discovered they deliver from uber eats and decided to order a late night dinner with my friend. The menu was filled with traditional Greek style street food which hits home with comfort food on a night in. Ordered 2X meal for ones which were chicken souvs with feta chips and a can of pop. Food was delivered promptly and still very hot which is a plus side for me especially when it comes to food delivery. The chicken was high in quality, juicy and flavorful and lacked annoying chunky fat pieces which is another plus. The sizing portion of the souvlaki was well worth the price being packed with more chips and fresh salad. Will definitely return to try other menu options whether it’d be in store or from ubereats
