What you should order: taramosalata, Cypriot salad, zucchini chips, saganaki! *Overall score: 22/25 or ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️*I came here for my partner’s birthday but it really felt like it was mine because the Greek food was amazing. It was so amazing that I kept looking at the kitchen thinking there was a Greek family whipping up all these amazing dishes.Nothing I ordered here was just “okay”.. really, everything was delicious. My favourite was1. the white cod roe which went well with the pita bread. 2. The light batter coating all the zucchini chips which made them easy to finish3. The Cypriot grain salad, which makes you wonder why you can’t make something similar at home – healthy and mixed with delicious yoghurt 4. The sizzling saganaki was a visual delight! 5. As for the meats, the chicken was consistently tender – even the breast meat! my only minor gripe was that the lamb could have been more tender. We were also charged a cake corkage for bringing our own cake – this is waived if you got for their banquet meals.6. I washed all of this down with a blueberry G&T which was better than all the other cocktails and beers we orderedWhat a winner this place is! This restaurant definitely serves the best Greek food I’ve ever had. Literally everything we ordered was delicious. The garlic pita bread was warm and fluffy when it was served and the tzatziki sauce complemented it really well. It was the perfect appetiser! The waiter recommended that we ordered half chicken and half lamb so that we could have a taste of two different flavours. The meat was juicy and fell apart when we separated it, it was amazing!!! And the chips were so crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside and had a strong but not overpowering smell of herbs. Best chips I’ve ever had. Definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone and definitely will be coming back!
“Get the banquet” they said “It will be plentiful” they said. Don’t waste your money if you’re a big eater. Generous on salads and vegetarian dishes, measly servings of beautifully prepared meat. Our large group only had the tiniest portion of lamb and chicken per person. Order off the menu and your wallet will be better off, so too will your stomach.
Had an amazing dinner here today. Food was incredible and the staff were attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely wonderful food and service at Hellenic Rebublic Brunswick. We had the Tzatziki Dip, Pita Bread, Octopus, Snapper and salad. Then had the dessert with filo pastry custard, 10 out of 10 for service, authentic Greek food and also wonderful wines – we will be back
