Wanted to like it here but if you expect housemade gnocchi for $22 think again; totally out of a packet , not even a generous serve and the cream sauce was burnt! I live locally and this is the third very poor meal I have had here recently. And my companion said his Scotch Fillet was fatty. No more chances.

Disappointed it took over an hour to get our meal- then given the wrong meal. Not offered any free bread or anything. When they remade it they could make it relatively quickly

First time in the lomond and will not return. Food was poor and service was slow, I ordered the duck (overcooked) and my partner ordered the Moroccan chicken which was very dry.

Lomond is a very chilled and relaxed pub.
    Very country and friendly.
Food and drinks are at good prices and their pulled pork burgers (Thursday $16) are to die for.
Staff can sometimes be quite hostile but most of them are very friendly.
There facilities could do with an upgrade and some of their live music is quite alternative but if that’s what you’re into it is a good listen

Up until now my experiences have been pleasant at The Lomond, so much so that I had been eagerly awaiting Steak Night but this time I was bitterly disappointed when the server not only got confused which steak of the 2 was medium rare & which was well done. She then proceeds to tell us that there must of been a mix up because she believed they was only a medium rare and a rare steak on the table instead. So my partner determines his was rare and the server scoots off with the plate in hand before I’ve even had a chance to check mine to see if it was cooked correctly. Turns out I was given a well done steak, she returns 5 mins later with re-cooked well done steak that tasted like a rubber tyre. I would of happily given the rare steak a go if given the opportunity but whatever you do, don’t serve a bloody steak lover a over-cooked piece of meat and expect them to be happy with it. When I asked if I could get the medium rare steak as originally ordered, I was told they were out of steak (meaning, it’s almost the end of the night and we can’t be assed to rectify the error) so they gave me the option of eat the steak or accept a refund. I begrudgingly ate the steak but the whole experience just ruined my night. Mistakes happen, i appreciate that as I run my own business… but it’s way you handle these mishaps that matters most. Will definitely think twice before going back, I really expected them to make a bit more of a effort since we are one of their regular patrons.

    Goat’s Cheese Souffl. Delish

Yummy!. I go here about three times a year and always have the same: goat’s cheese souffl with apple, spinach and walnut salad, followed by the chocolate fondant with peppermint chocolate chip ice cream. We eat in the bar and usually see a band. The only thing I wish they would improve are the chairs – a bit hard and uncomfortable. #firstworldprobs

Pleasantly surprised. Was expecting a seedy old pub from the outside. Inside was surprising refreshing and clean. The bistro area is lovely. Service was good, food was OK, live music was great.
