Third time back here and enjoyed it just as much as the first time.
Highlights- must try the backlava and the backlava ice cream! I usually don’t like backlava as I’ve tried ones that are too sweet for my liking, but mamas backlava is the right amount of sweetness. Pair with Lebanese coffee and it tastes even better.
The food is amazing. The platter for two is definitely a good deal for $70. We ended up having to take away the food because we had so much! Also a must try is the kibbi lamb tartare, it’s different but it’s so delicious!
Adam looked after us all night and always came back to ask if we were okay. Great service here with very friendly and approachable staff.

A large space yet an intimate atmosphere. Not a bad place to catch up with friends after work.

    Ordered:
Meat Lovers: One skewer of each of our charcoal grilled meats: Iahem meshwi (lamb), shish tawook (chicken) and kafta (beef), Chicken wingettes, Tabouli salad, Riz al jaj (Lebanese Chicken and Rice), Bowl of Zaatar chips and Hummus served with Lebanese Bread ($70.00)

    Review:
Loved the hummus and the lebanese bread. Bowl of Zaatar chips was nice but not memorable.
I liked the Chicken wingettes and the Riz al jaj (Lebanese chicken and rice) helped to add some cheap protein and carbs.
My meat skewers were a bit of a hit and miss. Some pieces were fine – the lamb was almost juicy but I felt as though the chicken and beef were too dry for me to properly savor the flavor.

Waitress was engaging when we asked her to recommend the salad and apart from that, we were pretty much left alone in our little corner of the restaurant. The couches by the windows were pretty damn comfortable and the square pillows a playful touch.
I think if the restaurant was a bit better lit – so I could see the food I was enjoying and if the table wasn’t so high up it would’ve been a more pleasant experience.

Really high expectations on this place because it was so hyped up on social media. Ive got to say really good social media marketing. Food wasnt bad but wasnt great either. Really enjoyed the cigar sticks and lamb cutlets. Unfortunately they were out of knafeh at 8:30pm?! The rest was average. I can go to any of the leb restaurants on Brunswick and pay less for more authentic and flavourful leb food.

Being Middle Eastern myself I definitely walked in with my critic hat on. I soon took my hat off after tasting the Dishes! It honestly tasted like home. I was worried that adding the modern twist could ruin the traditional side of our food but that was not the case!. If anything it made the food even better. Ive been back to this place at least 4 times as a guest not a Foodie Collaboration and love it. I love the layout of the whole place especially the garden side. Well done guys!.

The biggest standout was the staff, so incredibly friendly, and very helpful with menu choices! But the food was also delicious, and we ordered a lot of different dishes to share between 4. Standouts were the fried chicken wings, the cheese cigar sticks, the wonderfully smoky baba ganoush dip with pickled veggies, and the lamb skewer. But I dont think you can go wrong with anything. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert! I also loved the urban vibe of the restaurant.

There is a lot to like about Mama Manoush

The service was welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout the evening.

We arrived just after work and the place had been open for a short time so was quiet but by the time we left a few hours later is was bustling .

We shared a ranged of things off the menu – a mix of dips, egg plant chips, falafel, shish tawook and the shanglish salad. We finished the meal with baclava fingers which were not overly sweet making them a perfect end to the meal.

Most things were very tasty .. particularly the egg plant chips but the salad was very heavy with vinegar. That said, everything was prepared with care and tasted fresh.

    Overall a very pleasant evening.
