I’ve been eating here for a few months. Today I ordered three veggie burgers, when I got home I saw that they were extremely burnt. The burger and bread were black and ashy. I called to tell them, the lady offered a replacement. When I returned she informed me that she wouldn’t replace them unless I returned the original burgers, in case I had already eaten them. She never mentioned this during the phone call, and told me to return home and get them. I informed her I had no interest in going to the store three times for one meal. I will never return, the food is okay but not worth the hassle of the terrible customer service.
Fantastic fish and chips!! Great value for money, would defiantly recommend to anyone.

Before Melbourne was invaded but fashionable burgers if you wanted to get a good burger you would go to a fish and chip shop. At Pappa you get get a burger with the lot and a drink for ten bucks. You will easily pay twice as much at a burger restaurant. Brilliant burger!
Pappa’s is great, the chips are always cooked perfectly and the burgers are great. The person who builds those burgers knows exactly how to do it, never had a soggy one. I’ve paid with my card many times and never had to pay $20 minimum, it’s only a 0.50c charge plus the cost to use your card. Definitely recommend this place!
Good little fish n chips shop. Used to be better with the old owners, but still hits the spot when in need. Needs some change and maybe a fresh n up. There are better fish n chips in the area.

like a fatherly sparrow bringing worms home to his pesky chicks, pappa & his devoted team of friers provide me with seething mounds of delicious golden chips. best chips in burnswyck imho and, while the potato cakes are MUCH TOO DAMN FAT and tend to be undelicious, the flake is good and the burgers excellent. pappa’s own burger is a monstrous ‘bogan burger’-esque beast with a potato cake & bacon accompanying roughly 1 cow head’s worth of fine ground beef. (presumably it is not actually head-meat).
alas, the steak sandwich is egregiously misnamed being served as it is in a dang burger bun rather than twin bread slices and dwarfing the flipping innards. highly unrecommended SS.
otherwise a gr8 pappa.
Great Chips! Chips were delicious. Good prices. Really friendly service. Will come back again.
