Simply perfect!
The sign of a great place is when they can do the simple things really well .. consistently. Sweet Evelyn is such a place. Ive tried most things on the menu over the years and its all delicious.
My favourite part of the week though is to sit down for a great cup of coffee and some toast in the knowledge that it will arrive as it should be .. perfectly toasted.

Sweet Evelyn is a humble brunch place in the heart of Brunswick with ample seating and a beautiful outdoor courtyard where you can get some sun! The menu has a lot of great options which we tried and every dish was EXCEPTIONAL! I especially loved the smashed pumpkin, greens bowl & French toast. My friends also raved about the shakshuka eggs! The coffee was also fantastic – the almond lattes were very smooth! The staff were super friendly and service was prompt and professional. I highly recommend this venue and would definitely return! Sweet Evelyn is nothing short of sweet!
Good coffee is the corner stone to any brunch, and this coffee was a smooth fast onramp to the brunch highway. Solid 4 here, friendly service and breakfasts that punch above their weight in flavor and filling. Great relaxed atmosphere.
This place ticks all the boxes. Great coffee, delicious home baked sweet and savory goods and great menu. Have tried many items – this Tom yum omelette packs a punch in flavor. Delicious friendly service always
A good breakfast is hard to find but thankfully Sweet Evelyn is the place to find it. We had the shakshuka baked eggs as well as the cornbread and roast vegetables. Both were excellent. The service was relaxed and friendly too.
